Volunteer Spotlight: Julia Culp

Julia Culp is the newest member of the WASLA Executive Committee, filling the position of Eastern Washington Representative and liaison to the Student and Emerging Professional Committee. Julia is a graduate of Washington State University, earning her degree in landscape architecture in 2010. From there, she has earned her licensure in Washington State last April. She is a lover of the outdoors and an artist in every way; two passions that clearly fuel her budding career as a landscape architect.

Although her time on the ExCom has just begun, the services she's provided and hard work she's already put in is anything but short. Since her term began in November she has been responsible for planning the Spokane-based holiday social, a lunch and learn with Heeling Hooves co-owner Sue Lani Mitchell, a quarterly social and CEU presentation with PlayCore, and she is currently planning an East-side viewing of the 10 Parks that Changed America. With her "out of the box" brain-storming power, her creativity, thoughtful solution skills, and her "hunger to learn" personality, it's easy to see why Julia has been an integral part of WASLA leadership. We are so happy to have you! Keep up all the awesome work!
