Meet in the Middle: Call for Proposals

A quick reminder to all of our great chapter members that we have begun planning for our 2015 conference in sunny Wenatchee, Washington. The conference will offer a chance for our members from all parts of the State to Meet in the Middle.

Meet in the Middle:

  • The conference title means so much more than simply meeting in the middle of the state.  This theme creates opportunity to discuss any number of topics on compromise, collaboration, changes in practice associated with budget or climate, etc.
  • What new techniques and philosophies will be necessary with changing budgets and will have an impact on the way we design?
  • What new methods are we using to provide more thoughtful landscapes to fit community scale and budget?
  • What new design and construction technologies can Landscape Architects employ to address climate change?

WASLA is now accepting proposals for educational sessions to be presented at our upcoming spring conference scheduled for May 29-30, 2015, in Wenatchee, Washington. We invite landscape architects, academics, allied professionals and vendors of the profession to submit proposals that fit this year’s conference theme, “Meet in the Middle.”
