See your designs get built! Scot Eckley, Inc. is an award-winning, talented Seattle residential Landscape Design-Build studio specializing in outdoor living spaces and urban gardens. We are looking for an equally talented Senior Project Landscape Architect/Designer to lead our projects from design through construction. We are a high-energy group and working with us is both exciting and rewarding. We work with trusting, engaged and fun clients in the immediate Seattle area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build great client, co-worker and vendor relationships
  • Lead and track client development and onboarding
  • Design gardens and landscape from Schematic Design through Presentation Drawings
  • Generate construction drawings for our install crew

Job Requirements

Experience/ Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture, or relevant experience or education 
  • 8+ years of Design/Build experience

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent creative skills and ability to translate customer requirements into design.
  • Commitment to providing the highest quality customer service.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous Design/Build Projects within budget from initial client contact through all phases of the project, keeping client needs paramount.
  • Be knowledgeable of and have experience with detailed concrete, masonry, stone and wood construction methodologies and implementation, drainage design, soil types, Puget Sound plants and horticultural best practices.
  • Be capable of working with design teams, consultants and crews through all design stages from concept through construction.
  • Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD and Sketch-up – this is a prerequisite of the position.
  • Proficient in Abode Creative Suite Products, MS Office, Google Business, and cloud-based storage products.
  • Have outstanding design graphic skills (hand drawing as well as computer graphics).
  • Be a team player with a positive “can-do” attitude, who is fun, friendly, and professional.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to self-direct/self-manage.
  • Maintain a professional appearance that is in line with company culture.
  • Valid WA State driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance with full coverage.
