Calling All Mentors for Washington State University!Hello all! As the new school year at Washington State University approaches we are excited to announce the 2016-2017 WSU Student-Professional Mentorship program! We greatly appreciate many members’ past participation and hope that you and many more can help us in building a group of 25-35 professional mentors for the upcoming school year. This program is vital to the growing WSU School of Design & Construction and your participation is greatly valued. Participating in the program is easy. Simply provide a brief bio, including the below requested information, in an email to me at [email protected]: (Subject: WSU Mentor – Your Name) Name: If you have participated in the past, and the information requested above has not changed from previous years, you may just submit your name and current contact information to me at the above address. The WSU mentor program does not directly pair each mentor with an individual student; alternatively we provide the mentors’ information to the students at WSU. They can then select a mentor they feel aligns with their interests. Typical mentor participation can include project advice and critique, an office tour and perhaps a project site visit, help with portfolio building, introductions to colleagues and other professionals, and more. The time commitment is minimal averaging about 2 hours a month from September to May. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from many of you soon! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at the address above. Go Cougs! Blake Erlandson |
