Landscape Designer/CAD Production Specialist

PROFILE OF COMPANY: We are an established and growing Eastside firm specializing in Resource and Environmental Planning and Landscape Architecture. Our project types mainly include the following: commercial, multi-family residential, mixed use, and natural resource planning, and habitat restoration/mitigation.

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a highly motivated individual to fill a full-time position as a mid-level landscape designer focusing on plan production utilizing AutoCAD. The position involves transforming conceptual/rough product designs, notes and/or ideas, into intermediate and final documents. Responsibilities include sheet production for site landscaping and habitat mitigation design, construction, and as-built plan sets. The position shares responsibility with other staff for adherence to established specifications and standards, for maintaining the CAD library of reference files, and for graphics production quality control. Additional opportunities within the scope of the firm's work may be available as the need determines. The successful candidate will have strong written, verbal, and organizational skills and will be proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel. Desired qualifications include a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, planning, biology, or similar; a background of 2 years in CAD production, work experience reading or preparing architectural/engineering/survey drawings; and skills in technical writing, GIS, and Photoshop. The successful candidate will be friendly and team oriented, yet goal and deadline driven.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

-Proficient with AutoCAD 2007 to 2017.
-Confident and capable with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
-Able to perform under pressure/time constraints.
-Familiar with Pacific Northwest native and/or horticultural plants.

Job Requirements

Certificate or Associate's degree in a related area and/or 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Please list and highlight applicable past experience using AutoCAD with a brief description of the projects. Please provide examples of AutoCAD work, if any.
