Description: The product of an intensely collaborative process between the landscape architectural team, artists, fabricators, and children across the city, the Seattle Centers Artists at Play installation adds an accessible, art-based play environment to the cultural campus. A spirit of inclusion informed each stage of the project, creating a welcoming playground that engages children of all ages and abilities. Integrating multiple layers of art and play into a colorful landscape, the design challenges children's imaginations and physical skills with opportunities for exploration and adventure. The playground is free to all visitors, providing a long-needed amenity in a dense urban neighborhood.
