Description: Through a competitive design process, our team was selected to design & construct two courtyards for Pyrotek Corporation's relocated headquarters in downtown Spokane. These areas function as a contemporary outdoor space for employees and visitors. Each area has a water feature designed to fit the contemporary theme, built of stainless steel and concrete with underwater lighting. The sound of these water features draw attention from passersby while screening street noise for those inside the courtyard. The sunken courtyards are a full story below the adjacent city sidewalk. The buildings glass walls bring the outdoor experience into an exercise room and a conference room. Bridges over the courtyards access the main entrances to the building.
