M2 Landscape Architecture is an award winning firm providing both landscape architecture and arborist services in both British Columbia and Alberta. We are close to skytrain, transit, bike routes and parking and are located in the historic Old Town area of New Westminster, within a block of New Westminster Quay, in a beautiful brick heritage building. We primarily focus on multi-family residential / mixed use, elder care and health institutions and high end single family residences. M2 is looking for a landscape architect or experienced landscape designer who is self-starting, creative and enthusiastic. We are happy to provide opportunities for educational advancement as well. Position: Landscape Architect / Senior Landscape Designer Responsibilities: Conceptual design for variety of projects. Coordination and collaboration with both clients, consultants and municipal representatives. Landscape design development for permit submissions, including detail design, grading, planting and hardscape plans. Estimating. Creating renderings in photoshop, sketch up or hand drawn perspectives. Work closely with a team in-house, to ensure projects are on-time and on-budget. Project management

Job Requirements

Education: Professional degree in Landscape Architecture; Min. BA in Landscape Architecture Experience:  3-5 years experience in Landscape Architecture firm, Arborist experience an asset, Proficient in Autocad, proficiency in Photoshop preferred as well, Knowledge in plant material, Experience in technical detailing, drafting and construction practices, Strong organizational skills, Written and verbal skills in English required, Professional appearance and ability to work easily with clients, consultants and government, Project management experience preferable, Eligible for membership to BCSLA

Terms of Employment
