Job Description

Murase Associates is an internationally recognized landscape architecture and environmental art studio in Seattle, WA. We are currently working on urban plazas, campus landscapes, mixed-use developments, medical facilities and parks representing a multitude of scales. We are seeking a landscape architect/designer to assist our design team.

Job Requirements

Suitable candidates will preferably have a minimum of 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will possess intuitive design skills, have a strong background in built work, demonstrate a thorough understanding of contract documents and be able to produce high quality, accurate working drawings. The successful candidate must be fun and flexible and expect to be challenged on a daily basis, working in a team environment with some of the most creative landscape architects in Canada.

  • BLA or MLA from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years professional experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong graphic presentation skills.
  • Organized and good time management skills.
  • Applicants should have a strong, well-rounded background in all phases of the design process, including demonstrable experience in the development of schematic design, design development, construction documents, technical detailing, and construction phases of project work.
  • Applicants should be highly organized and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivation and desire to work collaboratively with others and to develop new skills with a strong desire to grow within the profession.
  • Appreciation for landscape art and design.

Terms of Employment

This is a full time position. Benefits include medical, paid vacation, holiday and sick time and a 401(k) plan.
