Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer

Salary: $55K - $70K, depending on experience

SPW Landscape Architects is seeking a full-time landscape architect or landscape designer with three to five years of experience in professional design, project management, and construction observation.

Work Location: This is not a remote position. The majority of SPVV’s work is in the Spokane region, with our office located in Northwest Spokane. This position requires employees to live within a commutable distance of the Spokane area.

Employment: Full Time; Minimum Experience: 3-5 years

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

As a valuable team member, you will be involved throughout the design process, including graphic production, client meetings, drawing documentation, and site visits. Creative input throughout the design process will be expected and encouraged within our collaborative team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

To thrive in this position, you will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (BLA) or master’s (MLA) degree from an accredited landscape architecture university program.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and design skills (hand drawing as well as computer graphics).
  • Capable of assisting the lead landscape architect to complete projects while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Capable of preparing construction document packages, including hardscape, planting, landscape lighting, construction details, and assisting in the preparation of specification and bidding packages.
  • Capable of working with design teams and consultants through all design stages from concept through construction.
  • Knowledge of and experience with construction methodologies and implementation.
A successful candidate will be self-motivated, anticipate the needs of clients and projects, communicate effectively orally and in writing, work independently and on a team, and have a solid portfolio demonstrating their abilities.
