Landscape Architect/Project Manager

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Annually

Fora Landscape Architects is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect / Project Manager to join our Seattle-based studio. This role is intended for a licensed landscape architect with a strong background in project management and an interest in contributing to leadership, mentorship, and the long-term health of the firm within a collaborative, design-driven practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

This role combines design leadership, project delivery, and active participation in the studio. You will lead projects from concept through implementation while fostering clear communication among team members, clients, public agencies, and consultant partners. 

Responsibilities include guiding project teams; managing schedules, budgets, and workflows; and working closely with principals on contracts, proposals, and additional services. You will lead internal and external meetings, oversee technical documentation, and remain engaged through construction and site observation. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is a core part of the work. 

Beyond individual projects, you will contribute to the studio through mentorship, onboarding and training support, and participation in firm initiatives such as design leadership, technology, equity and inclusion, marketing, or business development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Licensed Landscape Architect with a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience
  • Proven ability to lead projects with minimal oversight, including budgets, schedules, contracts, and client communication
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
  • High level of technical expertise and confidence carrying projects through construction
  • Genuine interest in mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and staff development
  • Comfort navigating complex conversations and receiving constructive feedback
  • Interest in contributing to firm-wide efforts such as marketing, business development, and long-term planning
  • Curiosity about firm operations, including budgeting and financial performance 

Design & Technical Skills

  • Strong design sensibility and clear graphic communication skills
  • Experience producing technical documentation using AutoCAD and/or Revit (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of grading, hardscape, planting design, site furnishings, and consultant coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of quality and craft

Base salary range of $90,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
