Presenting well crafted plans and renderings to our clients is paramount, so they are able to envision the outcome. The landscape designer ensures that designs are of very high-quality, adhering to Malone’s standards and implementing the best solutions in the industry. Essential Functions
- Design creative landscape solutions for high end residential and commercial projects
- Provide high quality plans, including 3D models of hardscapes and plantings
- Produce plans with high end graphics and some photos to “sell” the plans to the client
- Ensure that plans meet the budget of the project
- Create plans that are executable within the timeframe of the project
- Order plants for plans
- Source and price some pieces such as art, appliances, lighting, etc.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure production is on time and within budget
- Interaction with clients when necessary
- Balances creativity with production limitations
Job Requirements: Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- 3 – 8 years’ experience in landscape design, or related field experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Design or Architecture
- Design/Build experience•Highly proficient with AutoCAD
- Skillful with Sketchup
- Experienced user of MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Robust knowledge of Pacific Northwest horticulture
- Experience with obtaining permits is preferred
- Construction experience preferred
