Landscape Designer/Architect

Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 Annually, commensurate with experience

Root of Design is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer or Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces, ensuring that projects meet code and environmental standards. 

Work Location: In Bothell Office 3 to 4 times a week for 3 months for training; Remote after 3 months. Candidate must be capable of doing site visits in the greater Seattle Area once or twice a month in person.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design Development: Create conceptual designs, site plans, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Collaboration: The role involves working with other team members on projects, including civil engineers, architects, and project managers.
  • Client Engagement: Present design concepts to clients, incorporating feedback to refine plans and achieve project objectives.
  • Plant and Material Selection: The position requires specifying plants and hardscape materials.
  • Sustainability Focus: Will incorporate eco-friendly practices, such as native plantings, stormwater management, and low-maintenance designs, to promote environmental responsibility.
  • Project Management: The position involves managing multiple project deadlines, managing project timelines, and coordinating with clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • BS or MA degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience working in landscape architecture
  • Experience organizing and supervising project workflow from design concept through the development of design drawings
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer communication skills (verbal and written), technical and organizational skills

Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000 Annually
