Senior Landscape Architect

Salary: $90K - $130K, depending on experience and location

Mackenzie is seeking  a highly experienced landscape architect with 12+ years of experience to join our team. This full-time role is suited to a self-motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about project management and delivering high-quality projects within a multi-disciplinary firm.  

This position involves guiding and mentoring staff while partnering with department leadership on strategic initiatives and business development. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to contribute to both project execution and the continued growth of the landscape architecture team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Foster staff development by supporting mentorship, growth opportunities, and a positive team environment 
  • Work with client, stakeholders, and project team to execute work 
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships 
  • Identify market opportunities and develop project leads 
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts 
  • Serve as the landscape architectural lead and landscape architect of record 
  • Coordinate with architects, interior designers, civil and structural engineers, and project consultants to ensure design integrity 
  • Proactively manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution 
  • Assist in operational management efforts including staffing coordination, recruitment, and hiring 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Strong construction documentation, detailing, cost estimating, and construction administration experience 

 

  • Strong project management experience in public and private sectors 

 

  • Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills 

 

  • Business development and marketing experience 

 

  • Passionate about finding thoughtful solutions that exceed client expectations, meet social justice and climate equity goals, and are mindful of budget.  

 

  • Licensed in OR, WA, and/or CA 

 

  • Familiarity with design and production software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Civil 3D, LandFX, Bluebeam, and SketchUp 

 

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Deltek, Procore, Forma, MS Office Suite
