Eastrail Wilburton Framework PlanProject Title: Eastrail Wilburton Framework Plan Eastrail is a 42-mile trail and park corridor in Washington State, reimagining an abandoned railroad corridor. The trail section that runs through the City of Bellevue’s Wilburton neighborhood is in transition from car-centric suburb to high-density trail and transit-oriented community. The framework plan is a foundational piece of planning and a catalyst shaping a neighborhood built around Eastrail’s active transportation, transit, and greenspace. The framework serves as a guide and inspiration, unique in its applicability at multiple levels, from guiding further regional planning, to shaping adjacent private redevelopment today and in the future, and defining specific trail typologies guiding layout, materials, and character. |
